My Learning Diary

Learning Diary

My name is Elena Herrero. Teaching is what I do, and a teacher is who I am.
I was born in Salamanca, Spain, in the small, provincial city of Castilla y Leon in the northwest of Spain, where I live since I finished my degree.

I've been working as an Technology teacher for over 2 years in a range of High schools.  When I started teaching I've just realize that children are our future, so I'm sure  I wanted to contribute to their life long journey, therefore I decided to enter the education profession.

What’s the Point of a Personal Learning Network?

Our PLN is all around us every day. It’s not just Twiter, but the people that we work with and exchange ideas with, our unique range of people we learn from including peers, coworkers, supervisors, experts and other professionals, including our students.

How to Use Social Media as Teacher PD
Hundreds of teachers are using social media as teacher PD for idea sharing, professional development; we need to know about connecting with other educators online. We have several social media like Classroom 2.0, EdWeb, Edmodo, odr Facebook gropus (The WeAreTeachers HELPLINE!), or even social sites for Fundraising, for Finding New Teachers, for Finding Ideas (Pinterest), for Inspiration and a Laugh (Instagram), for Connecting With Parents, for Direct Instruction (Edmodo), for Asking Questions (Angie Miller), for Distilling Information (Twitter), for Flipping Your Classroom (Angie Miller).
